“Body & Air” is track from the Casual Curious “Light Bulb” release that is based around an audio sample from “Tema de Maria Helena”, performed by Marcos Valle and Brazilian fusion group Azymuth. The track is off a collaborative soundtrack the two artists recorded for a documentary on popular Brazilian race-car driver Emerson Fittipaldi. James and I performed it throughout or time playing together and remained untitled until multiple listeners(unaware that the vocal sample was Portuguese) interpreted the lyrics as “body and air”. It sort of just stuck after that. The name seems almost appropriate for the recorded version because the natural tape phase from James drum track almost has a physical effect when listening to it on headphones.
